What I'm proposing is to move the patch to rtld.c into sysdeps/mips,
and add Makefile magic to get the patch applied to rtld.c before it's
compiled. If you agree with this work-around for Uli's refusal to
accept such a simple machine-independent patch, I'll try to implement
it. If not, I don't know how to proceed in this regard.
