newlib didn't create makefiles

Jochen,
Please post your directory setup (i.e. where is newlib, where are the
rest of the tools). I would need to see your actual configuration
command and the results. Are you configuring as
"--target=powerpc-mpc55xx" or "--target=powerpc-eabispe"?? You must
configure from the top-level (i.e. you don't configure inside the newlib
subdirectory; the top-level src configuration does that for you when you
finally issue "make all" or "make all-target-newlib").
