So, looks like I misinterpreted this wiki page [1]:
"libc-stable (Stable backport discussions only, send patches to libc-alpha)"

Which I just rewrote as:
"libc-stable (Discussions around stable branches and backported patches only.
Send new patches to libc-alpha)"
