You are lucky.  My make-3.77 here (running with egcs-1.1.1pre2,
binutils-2.9.1.0.16, glibc-2.0.102, linux-2.1.129ac4) just segfaults on
sight of glibc-2.0.103. It is _not_ just make's fault, it built
linux-2.1.129ac5 and 2.1.130pre2 just fine.
