I would love to have the actual discussion on this list. But we have
had a proposal for over two months with questions and objections sent
to this list which apparently people seem to not want to answer or
discuss on list. So I thought it might be good to have a different
setting where people might feel more comfortable discussing things. As
always I would of course then sent a summary of the meeting to the
list.

It might be that people don't even want to discuss it in such a
synchronous meeting either. But it did work when we setup the
Sourceware Corporate Sponsorship Program. Which was something some
"opponents" of Sourceware said was what was missing. So I was really
happy we did get participation from those people. And I hope it
brought the group closer together. https://sourceware.org/sponsor.html

I would like to get answers and a discussion around the issues Zoë
brought up. And if we won't get them on this list then getting them
through some other avenue seems like a good compromise. But I am
certainly willing to accept that a summary of such a meeting isn't
really what you are asking for. So I do support your request to have
questions on list be answered directly on list before making any
decission.

Cheers,

Mark
