Meeting: 2026-01-19 @ 0900h EST5EDT

Video/Audio: https://bbb.linuxfoundation.org/room/adm-alk-1uu-7fu

IRC: #glibc on OFTC.

Review glibc 2.43 blockers and desirable changes.

  * Release of glibc 2.43 is planned for February 1st or earlier.
  * Linux: fix tst-copy_file_range-large failure in 32-bit glibc build on 64-bit kernel [BZ 33790] (Xi)
   * Reviewer Pool: Florian.
  * We are in the Hard Freeze.
   * Only critically important or technically straightforward bug fixes
  * Discussed misc/tst-pidfd and that pidfd_send_signal was added in 2.36, so this is not a regression in 2.43.
  * Discussed tst-gnu2-tls2 test failure.
  * Discussed elf/tst-startup-errno
   * Florian: Strace should show if there is a failing syscall setting errno.
   * Carlos: This should not fail, that's odd. Yes, an `strace -ttt -ff -o run.log` should show the results.
  * Discussed "Fix ldbl-128ibm ceill, floorl, roundl and truncl zero-sign handling"
   * Adhemerval: We need a regression test for this for the direct test.
   * Dedicated tests for ceill, floorl, roundl, and truncl are required.
   * Sachin agrees to review this, but we note that it's not required for the release.
  * Sachin: Who has the action item on tst-startup-errno?
   * Andreas will get the data and send it to Sachin.
  * Discussed cutting the release early given the testing results. This avoids any last minute work during FOSDEM.
