No, that's a misunderstanding, and a misrepresentation of what I'm
saying.

We're not doing our computing on Sourceware.  The services we're using
aren't SaaSS, to the best of my knowledge, they're publishing and
communication, which aren't our computing, so relying on a third party
for them doesn't affect our control over our computing.

If we were to start using SaaSS from Sourceware, from Codeberg, or even
from the FSF, you could expect about as much opposition from me as in
this case.  Ok, maybe not as much because I have other reasons to
dislike and distrust the LF, even WRT services that aren't SaaSS.

That's the age old philosophical argument of the supposed freedom to
enslave oneself.  Once you admit the existence of such a freedom and
exercise it, you're no longer free.

I want users, including ourselves, to keep our freedom, so that we don't
make poor choices today that curtail our present and future freedom, by
giving others power over us and those who come after us in the community.


I disregard the rest of your argument because it was built on an unsound
premise.
