kawa by ftp is difficult

The point about FTP being difficult in many situations seems valid to me
and perhaps http and https links would be useful but I have also found
that one can simply get to the files by replacing ftp with https on this
server:

  https://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/kawa/kawa-3.1.1.zip
