Fred,

What is your intent with this bug? Are you asking if glibc conforms to a
particularly standard? Are you interested in fixing this issue or having glibc
document the implementation defined behaviour?

Some more context on the issue would be helpful.

We've had a discussion on the list regarding the behvaiour of sqrt:

We're leaning towards marking this as not a bug from glibc's perspective, but
I'd like to hear from you on this issue.
