Meanwhile, there now exist several unofficial sources that provide patched
glibc:

For Arch Linux: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/glibc-dso/
For Ubuntu Linux: https://launchpad.net/~slonopotamus/+archive/ubuntu/glibc-dso
Gentoo Linux users just put patches into /etc/portage/patches/sys-libs/glibc/
and rebuild glibc.
