gdb - loading symbols of shared library

 Most often this is the result of libodbcinst.so being compiled
> with 'gcc -g -O2'. Compiler has optimized the variable out.

This indeed seems to be the problem - I re-compiled libodbcinst.so without
-O and now I can see the symbols!
