mips3264 branch, gdb, and floating point numbers

I am working with mips3264-000710-branch.  The gdb testsuite seems to
have many failures (20388 passes vs. 7815 failures).  Looking through
the results it appears to be failing on tests involving floating point
numbers.  Is gdb's inability to handle floating point numbers a known
problem with this branch? Is there a patch that fixes this problem?
