zhlg_shuhan,

1.0: make a floppy with redboot.bin
1.1: get redboot.bin from
- http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/boards/redbootbins/x86pc/
1.2: make the floppy following the instructions from
- http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/redboot/x86pc.html
1.3: read some stuff from
-
http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/tutorials/i386pc/ecos-tutorial.d.html#pgfId=2829472

1.4: read some stuff from
- http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/tutorials/i386pc/ecos-tutorial.2.html
2.0: a program built with i386-elg-gcc can run on pc as long as you:
2.1: follow 1.x instructions and after you download your program with i386-elf-gdb
2.2: make a floppy with your program and boot the target pc with your program
2.3: use another way to download your code to the target pc:
- cygmon, JTAG, mental power, kamasutra, any but without using windows, etc.
3.0: the cost will be the price you pay to download i386-elf-gcc, i386-elf-gdb,
binutils and the
eCos repository and toos. This will depend on your ISP, etc.
3.1: tools download link at:
4.0: search and read the The ecos-discuss mailing list archives at
- http://sources.redhat.com/ml/ecos-discuss/
4a: read all you can from
- http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/

regards,
Jose Luiz
