Hi,
    I hope this is the correct mailing list to report and seek help on below issue during linking step.
arm-wrsmllib32-linux-gnueabi-gcc  -march=armv7-a -marm -mfpu=neon  -mfloat-abi=hard --sysroot=/opt/windriver/wrlinux-small/10.0-nxp-ls20xx/sysroots/aarch64-wrs-linux -g -O0 -D_REENTRANT -DLINUX -D__BSD_SOURCE -DUNIX -Wall -fno-strict-aliasing  -fprofile-arcs -ftest-coverage -mlong-calls -o /workspace/driver/switch/sdk/bin/libswitch.so -shared -fPIC -shared -Wl,-Bsymbolic <set of .o files> -Wl,--start-group /workspace/driver/switch/sdk/build_rsx-3_6_dbg/unix-user/rsx-3_6/*.a  /workspace/driver/switch/sdk/build_rsx-3_6_dbg/unix-user/rsx-3_6/*.o /workspace/driver/switch/sdk/build/libswitch_base.a -lnsl -lpthread -lm -lrt -Wl,--end-group -Wl,--relax
/workspace/share/windriver/wrlinux-small/10.0-nxp-ls20xx/sysroots/x86_64-wrlinuxsdk-linux/usr/bin/arm-wrs-linux-gnueabi/../../libexec/arm-wrs-linux-gnueabi/gcc/arm-wrs-linux-gnueabi/7.2.0/real-ld: BFD (GNU Binutils) 2.29.0.20170912 assertion fail ../../bfd/elf32-arm.c:9509

What exactly is causing this assertion failure ? Googled for it, but couldn't get any useful info.
>From binutils-2.29 sources, the file elf32-arm.c has function elf32_arm_populate_plt_entry which is having assert at line 9509 as below.

 9507       if (!elf32_arm_use_long_plt_entry) 9508         { 9509           BFD_ASSERT ((got_displacement & 0xf0000000) == 0); 9510
Kindly help if you can.

Thank you.Mahendra
