binutils 2.34 on NixOS

Hi Alan,

I now suspect this to be due to some bug fix in binutils, as I believe
those tests
should never have been passing in the first place as Nix builds (and
tests) in
unprivileged sandboxes.

I'm following up on this theory on the thread with Nick.
