Search Google for "gnu ld manual". You get the one on www.gnu.org, and it is ancient: it's for version 2.9.1 from 1994. For the rest of binutils, there's a manual for version 2.12 there. Unfortunately, these are the top Google hits, even though sourceware.org has newer manuals. Can anyone here update the ones on www.gnu.org?
