Building binutils for uclinux/arm

Heyho everywhere!

I'm trying to build a gcc-3/binutils 2.11.2 toolchain for arm-uclinux

Using plain arm-uclinux does not work (unrecognized target name), and
arm-uclinux-elf does not match the arm*-*-uclinux* target that seems to
be present in some subdirs (and consequently leads to linking errors
trying to build the linux kernel.)

However, I can't come up with a legal target name that would produce a
working linker for me :-(

Any ideas?
