I might add in passing here that this is not a unique problem to
FreeBSD and Linux.  I think the only target that uses the dynamic
interpreter specified in the ABI on x86 is SCO Unix.  But the default
has to be set to _something_, and there is no one clear choice (linux
and Solaris differ, for instance).
