You take the changelogs that you interested in and search around with
the public cvs repositories and find the `closest' match.  One metric
of closeness is the one with the fewest lines of differences in a diff
-c between them.

Without doing this, in this one case, I could probably guess that the
dated checkouts from 3/3/200 and 2/16/2000 are the closest matches for
these critters.  The above method could verify this.
