Can you run
stap-report
cat /proc/kallsyms | grep setup_fail_slab
nm /lib/modules/2.6.24-FNM_v2.1/build/vmlinux | grep setup_fail_slab
readelf -S /lib/modules/2.6.24-FNM_v2.1/build/vmlinux
Can you try kprobe.function("setup_fail_slab") instead of kernel.function()?
(I'm wondering if you're lacking CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO.)
