Please test the latest developer snapshot. It contains a fix which is
supposed to fix the problem. It looks like there's a bug in the winmm
DLL, at least in older versions. I found a workaround which shouldn't
work, but it does. If you're interested in the technical details,

If it works for you, and still works for others, I'll release 1.7.8 ASAP.
