Where does --launch come from? That's not a typical argument in configure
scripts generated by Autoconf, nor is it one supported by the GNU Coding
Standards. Also, I don't see where you ran autoreconf or any other form
of bootstrapping; are you sure this ./configure was generated by autoconf?

That patch talks about a cross-compiling issue when compiling on cygwin
but targetting mingw. But based on your configure arguments, that is not
what you are doing. I don't see how this is relevant.
