So that means if I am using the crosstool-0.28-rc37 tarball, there are no newer patches for gcc or glibc on your server?
And thus I can't use let's say gcc-3.3.5 since there are no crosstool patches for it...?
You can, but you'll have to help out a bit. When I add a new version of, say, gcc, what I do first is just build without any patches; then, as I run into problems, I bring patches forward from the previous version one by one, verifying that each one still solves a real problem. You'll probably see that fewer patches are needed for the new version. Once you have it working, submit a patch that, um, adds the new patches :-) - Dan
