Sorry for typo of your name, Nick!
Actually, I have read through the web site (http://www.gnu.org/software/libc) for major items before asking this question, but there are no document for how to rebuild a libc and no related mail list. Have you found them from the web site?
I have found many useful information from "glibc-profile" search, for example,
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=glibc-profile
My challenge is, I need to profile application on various Linux machines, and for some Linux machine, I do not know the distribution name and I only know the architecture, for example, x86-32, Power PC, etc. Any ideas of which glibc-profile should I try? Why the glibc-profile are vendor dependent?
regards,
George

Hi George

It's "Nick" actually...

Oh yes, this is not for the faint-hearted.

Have you checked out the glibc web site ?
http://www.gnu.org/software/libc

That depends upon the Linux distribution that you are using. I would
suggest that you check with their web sites. You could also google for
"glibc-profile".
Cheers
Nick
