Line number on/off menubar, toolbar.  Always being reworked as items are added
to the GUI.

How are preferences visualized?

Some of this is currently implemented, working on making it up to date with the
data being displayed.

I am currently splitting the preferences into different tabs. Right now have
look and feel, settings, and syntax tabs.

The ability to Italicise syntax highlighting elements has been added, and the
syntax highlighting tab of the preference window has been reorganized.

The preference model for the source window has been revamped and the preference
window re-designed.
