Xconq 7.4 branch time

I'm thinking about creating the 7.4 release branch this week.
The code seems reasonably stable, and there is plenty of new
stuff for people to try.  The way this will work is that I
make a branch, put out ftpable snapshots based on the branch,
then we fix any more obvious bugs found by testing, and announce
the new release.  Whole process should only take a week or so,
assuming no showstoppers.

I can only test Linux and Mac versions, so it will fall to
somebody else to make sure a Windows version is available.
Has anyone gotten a recent CVS checkout working under Windows??
