This proposed patch addresses two of the three issues with the 6.15 kernels

The proposed patch has a couple of autoconf files to determine which functions
should be used for the particular kernel and then some defines to use the
appropriate function.

This patch does not address the remaining x86_64 specific issue.

The patch also needs to be tested in more environments to make sure that it
works on RHEL9 etc.
