If putting such a timeout control into the /rc file is acceptable,
then we don't even have to compress it with a tapset macro.  We could
just teach stap to accept multiple -e SCRIPT bits, and let the /rc
file contain a fully spelled out

     -e 'probe timer.s(120) { error("timeout") }'
