In the offline_kernel_module search, if the two different, identically-named
foo.ko's are available in two places under /lib/modules/`uname -r`, stap may or
may not pick the same one that modprobe would choose.  systemtap needs to parse
the same override directives as modprobe does, to favour e.g. weak-updates.
