For reference I am NOT seeing this issue on a Fedora16 x86_64 setup with:

$ id
uid=500(mark) gid=500(mark)
groups=500(mark),10(wheel),477(stapusr),478(stapdev),600(pm)
context=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023
$ sudo id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root)
groups=0(root),1(bin),2(daemon),3(sys),4(adm),6(disk),10(wheel)
context=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023

And a similar setup on RHEL6 x86_64 with:
$ id
uid=500(mark) gid=500(mark)
groups=500(mark),10(wheel),155(stap-server),491(stapusr),492(stapdev)
context=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023
$ sudo id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root)
groups=0(root),1(bin),2(daemon),3(sys),4(adm),6(disk),10(wheel)
