It is possible to start up a stap-serverd with -a / -r versions that
do not correspond to a functional local installation of kernel-devel etc.
During startup, perhaps it should run a trial   "stap -p4 -e 'probe begin {}'"
to see whether at least kernel-devel goop is installed, and issue a warning
otherwise.
