There are also lots of tests that don't need the kernel debuginfo but operate
purely in user space (and generate their own executables/libraries/debuginfo).
So won't it make sense to make the kernel debuginfo needing tests as UNTESTED in
an environment that doesn't have it?

Alternatively make installcheck could run stap-prep as first test.
