It would be nice to have some kind of warning for this. I have been bitten by
this also before with "normal entry time snapshotted" target variables in return
probes. I believe this is a commen "beginners mistake" where people scratch
their head about why a variable "hasn't changed" on return from the function,
but in fact they are looking at a a snapshot of the variable on function entry.
