Hi ,

Its documented under prerequisites at
http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~//src/README?cvsroot=systemtap
that the " C compiler (same as what kernel was compiled with)"

Is there any reason why the C compiler used for building SystemTap is 
the same as what kernel was compiled with.

Are there any known instances or issues caused when SystemTap was 
compiled with a different compiler.
