Test failures on Solaris 9

I built patchutils 0.3.0 on Solaris 9 using gcc 4.2.4

After I changed /bin/sh to be bash, 20 of the 126 tests still failed.   
Verbose test output is attached.  Let me know if you need any of the  
test files themselves.
