I didn't mean to start an argument here, only explain why having
working modules in uberbaum is helpful.
The amount of time it takes to re-download all the directories I don't
want, every time I try to update the repository, is significant. I'm
updating with 'cvs co <modules>' over an existing tree in the first
place, instead of cvs update, because the latter will suck down all
the directories I don't want. (Yes, I know that's because I have -d
in .cvsrc; I need that to pick up new subdirectories.)
