Ahem, "metahtml", not "mhonarc".
Incidentally, in case anyone is wondering, I started looking into
fnord a week or two ago when there was no word on whether a new
system might ever be available -- we are losing 200-300MB of our
system memory to apache right now and this was the most obvious
thing to go after if we had to keep the current box struggling
along.
When the new system that Chris describes is enabled, memory will
be ~2.5 times larger and we'll have, what, 3-4x the CPU bandwidth
at our disposal.
I'm not planning on pursuing fnord any more unless the new box
falls through somehow. I wanted to send the results of my little
investigation to the list as long as I had done it already.
