Should we eliminate IP address lookup for incoming e-mail?

It shouldn't, since we tell it to look at the files rather than do http.
Though IIRC it does for URLs/files with suffixes not matching its very
limited hardwired mime.types: .htm .html .txt .asc .pdf .ps and .eps

Bother: I can't identify it in the logs.  Where should I look?
