OK, I just try to reproduce the problem

For now it's OK for

x86 (linux 32)
sh (double fpu, single-only-fpu)

I'll give a try on x86 Cygwin. Might take more time, but any other
information are welcome.

This code is indeed target independent, this is why we need to make it
work for all DBL_DIG values.
