current way to check out from cvs

Hi,

I was looking at the CVS version of newlib and when
I follow the instructions, the checkout only gets
the newlib subdirectory (src/newlib in CVS), not
the equivalent of a what is in newlib tarball.

  cvs -z 9 -d :pserver:anoncvs@sources.redhat.com:/cvs/src co newlib


What should be checked out?
