BTW I used the following configuration options:
- --disable-newlib-io-float --disable-newlib-supplied-syscalls
- --with-gnu-ld
(does the 2nd option hurt?)
Overall, i would like to produce a 'libc.a' as e.g. for a mips-elf
target where support for open, close, sbrk, write, lseek, read, fstat
exists.
For the mips-elf case, the following sequence should be OK (assuming
that gcc has been built under "--with-newlib"):
../source-dir/configure --prefix=/path/to/mips/tools --target=mips-elf
make
make install
Kind regards
