This looks good.  I'll add this to our internal cell newlib cvs tree.  Hopefully Jeff will 
pick it up for the main cvs tree as well.

On a side note.  I've got a couple of patches to my earlier stdio ppe offloading that fix 
some bugs.  I haven't sent them to the list yet because there is still an issue with 
stdout/stderr and functions like fputs() that I'm working on fixing as well.  If you are 
integrating the stdio ppe offloading that I sent out earlier these additional patches 
would be useful to you and I could send them privately.
