configure, do not generate documentation

Hi,

i try to compile newlib in a mingw environment and have
some problems with that, at the moment with some texinfo
files.

Is there a way to only build the really necessary files,
some way to NOT generate documentation?

I tried --disable-doc and --disable-texinfo, but that did
not work.  Still "makeinfo" is called and the build stops
due to errors.

Can i skip documentation somehow?
