note on my patches

I should have mentioned that:

  + I did not include regenerated files in the patches.
  + I initially made these against 1.10.0, and then
    updated them to CVS around Aug 22.  I just checked
    out newlib from CVS again and all still apply.

Sorry for not mentioning this in the first round.
