h8300-hms target: sprintf,pow,log do not work

Hi,
I have built  a cross compiler for H8-300 on linux, cygwin and also on mingw. I am using gcc-3.0.3, binutils-2.11.2+some patches, newlib-1.9.0+some patches. 
It is found that some math library functions (e.g. power, log) and libc library functions (e.g. sprintf) are not working. The garbage value is seen in the output of these functions.
Same results were found for newlib-1.10.0
