Thanks for your suggestion to make some tricks with the REENT pointer, I will
try it tomorrow. Though I'm very much suspect that you didn't try it yourself :-(

It would be better, to make it work in the *standard* Cygwin environment,
i.e. make a proper fix to the newlib code. Unfortunately, seems that the real
newlib developers don't bother to do it. Newlib mailing list is silent for weeks.
