FWIW I can reproduce this using your testcase on FC4 x86-64 with "make CCC='g++ -m32'" but not in 64bit mode. To get this to work I had to modify a gnu.mak file to hardcode the system as Linux-i686, since other makefiles require that and so they fail when uname outputs x86-64 I didn't look into it any further than that. jon
