Problem with cerr

I use gcc 2.95 and the compiler and the libraries were delivered with Suse 8.0 
Linux. I do not know the version.
What should I do? 

(I see that the library I use is linked to "libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.a".)
