Some more information about the current V3 failures on AIX:
The testcases which are crashing at runtime produce the following
warnings when linked statically:
WARNING: Duplicate symbol: std::num_get<char, std::istreambuf_iterator<char, std::char_traits<char> > >::id
requires an alignment more strict than the alignment of the symbol that replaces it.
WARNING: Duplicate symbol: std::num_put<char, std::ostreambuf_iterator<char, std::char_traits<char> > >::id
requires an alignment more strict than the alignment of the symbol that replaces it.
The dynamically linked testcase calls std::__throw_bad_cast from
std::num_put and std::num_get.
