Sorry, for (still unexplained) obscure reasons I thought it was
approved.  

However I can recall that I started discussing (privately) the matter
with you just before the patch was submitted -- I was contemplating
the option of trapping SIGs.  But Alexandre's approach is good.

Alexandre, please install the patch.
